“Bubbly” – Coby Callait

So it was the end of January. And my four roommates and i were taking a road trip. We were about 20 minutes into the drive when this well over-played song comes on.  There began some head nodding but when the chorus arrived... some how, magically, we all busted out singing in unison at the top of our lungs.  We didn't make to the end of the chorus before we all started busting out laughing at the fact that, unbenounced to everyone else, we all knew every word.  Hilarious and shameful. Best 2 years of my life.

Juantanameta – Random Salsa Band in Puerto Rico

In Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, we stumbled upon a random hole in the wall. There was a 9 piece salsa band playing. Rather than a creating a wall of sound this large band produced sound like a river, flowing throughout the place. It was incredible to say the least. The timbales were the best part.

“Naked As We Came” – Iron & Wine

Sam Beam helped me to through my last semester of school.
Probably played this song 1000 times.
Thanks Sam.

“Moab” – Conor Oberst – Colorado – Nashville

What better remedy for an untimely break up than an epic road trip?
This summer I drove out to Colorado to leave a friend at his new home.
We decided to take the long route so we could catch Conor Oberst in Nashville. During this song... after the crescendo... the music dies down... and Conor starts singing... “There’s nothing that the road cannot heal”
He was right.

“War Within A War” – Bird At Sea

“An iron will to swim up stream.”

“Oliver James” – Fleet Foxes – Black Cat

Robin Pecknold. That show changed my life forever. The End.
